Grand Theft AutoorGTAis one of the most popular and loved game franchises and it is expected that withGTA 6gamers will be in for a gaming experience never life before. Players have been waiting for details on the game but there has been nothing from Rockstar Games and even though there’ve been leaks about the game’s map and the possible release window, anything reliable hasn’t been known so far. A new report has now revealed thatGTA 6could be unplayable at launch for a large number of gamers with just one move from Rockstar Games.

GTA 6Will Be Unplayable for Millions of Players
According to the report,GTA 6orGrand Theft Auto 6will directly launch on new-gen consoles and skip last-gen consoles;PlayStation4 and Xbox One, excluding players who have not yet shifted to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. In February 2022,Rockstar Gamesconfirmed thatGTA 6was already under development saying that they are trying to significantly move beyond and deliver more than the previous tiles.
Although most players will likely have made their shift by the timeGrand Theft Auto 6releases some time in 2025, there is a large chunk of the player base that will still be left stranded due to this one move from developers and they might need to loosen their pockets for new consoles to play the game.

Why isGTA 6skipping Last-gen Consoles?
According to the reports, developers had planned to bringGTA 6to modern consoles since day 1 with the visuals and gameplay experience that they hope to bring to gamers and it could only be achieved with the modern hardware. It is however unknown if the game will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after some time of launch or if will it just skip these consoles entirely. Also, the players who have already made their shift to new-gen consoles wouldn’t be too happy to know they are not considered the elites they thought they were.
Earlier it was also reported that the map inGTA 6will be much bigger and will evolve and change from time to time. A popular leaker had also predicted the release window ofGTA6in 2025 which was also backed by a Bloomberg reporter. The last game in the franchise,GTA 5was released in 2013 and players have been waiting for a decade to get the next entry in the franchise. It looks like they have new criteria to fulfill if they want to play the game at launch.
