George Lucas’sStar Warsfranchise is massively well-liked. It is loved through and through by the fans and the entire world that has been built is one that is worthy of praise. When it comes to writing fiction, fantasy, or even science fiction; one big factor that comes into play is the world building.Star Warsin particular has ideas, worlds, people, species, and all sorts of different elements that together form such a vast and vivid story.

When it comes to big worlds, there are challenges that come along the way. Some of these consist of characters and how in-depth they have been explored, as well as the story in general. Lucas’s creation is one that is heavily looked at. However, one more challenge is just how many extras can be hired in one film.

Star Wars Had Cameos that No One Could Avoid
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sithhad a lot of different characters. Being part of such a heavy franchise, there were a lot of things that needed to be kept in mind. The world that was built so beautifully big, there was also the task of populating it. Not just one world but many, in a singular movie alone.
“One of the things that’s kinda fun about working on these pictures where the whole worlds have to be created is that those worlds have to be populated. Who do you get to populate these worlds? You get the cheapest labor you can, which is ourselves.”

It was shared that instead of getting various extras hired, which would have cost a fortune, they just decided to hire themselves to fill in the spots.

George Lucas Made it Into Revenge of the Sith
The entire crisis, what is more so a shortage of extras and a budget, was easily avoided. Those who were already part of the film contributed to populating the planets and different worlds. One such case was also with the Opera box. In order to confront this situation, even George Lucas and his daughter became a part of the film.
“George and his daughter are just outside the opera box.”

This quickly became more of a hunt for small cameos than a need to fill space. Getting others to fill the parts, and having Lucas himself being painted blue; was truly something that no one could have imagined at first.
