How God of War 2 Explores Kratos’ Origins

The game came out on PlayStation 2 back in 2007. The main storyline revolves around Kratos coming to terms with the deeds from his past, as he works under Ares. Characters like Athena act as grounding anchors who ask Kratos to look at the world around him in a pragmatic way, but Kratos goes out of his way to not listen to reason and assists his Spartan Army instead.
The consequences of this follow closely as players progress through the story. Much of the gameplay focuses on aggressive fight combos and using weapons like Athena’s Blades to give Kratos an edge over different enemy types.
