Marvel has come so far. With Phase Five, which will feature all the Marvel Studios productions set to be released from 2023 to early 2025, there’s no doubt Marvel has made a buzz in the superhero world. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures is responsible for distributing the films, while the series releases are on Disney+.

But it won’t be wrong to say that theAvengersfranchise itself helped grow the popularity of superhero movies. The spectacular superhero ensemble, no doubt, deserves an Oscar for their performances.
But the question is, have any of theseAvengerswon Oscars in real life, too? Some have, but some missed with the accolade. So, here is a list of every Avenger actor who has received Oscar nominations for their works besides superhero performances.

Mark Ruffalo
Mark Ruffaloplayed Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the MCU. The actor has received three nominations. First for Best Actor in a Supporting Role forThe Kids Are All Right(2010). And two nominations for Best Supporting Actor inFoxcatcher(2014) andSpotlight(2015).
Chadwick Boseman
Even thoughChadwick Bosemanis not with us today, he has achieved international fame for playing Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe from 2016 to 2019. The late actor has earned a posthumous Best Actor Oscar nomination for his performance inMa Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Robert Downey Jr.
Those who are acquainted with Marvel movies must know whoRobert Downey Jris. As it’s all started with him. He played Tony Stark/Iron Man in the movie of the same name in 2008.
RDJ is another famous actor with two Academy Award nominations but no wins. TheOppenheimerstar was nominated for the Best Actor award for his role inChaplinin 1992. He then received another nod for Best Supporting Actor inTropic Thunder.

Bradley Cooper
ThoughBradley Cooperdidn’t feature himself physically in the MCU, he provided the voice of Rocket Raccoon. The actor who voiced the character was nominated for a total of nine Oscars. Scarlett Johansson‘s box-office success came with her role as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in eight Marvel films. She received two Academy Award nominations till now. First for Best Actress inMarriage Story(2019) and second for Best Supporting Actress inJojo Rabbit(2019).
