Taking toX, the editor revealed his true condition following the same. He wrote:
“[Business Message]: Since Sunday the 5th, I have been hospitalized due to sudden illness. It seems a blood vessel in the brain, deep behind my right eye, ruptured suddenly. (I’m told it’s an idiopathic condition of unknown cause). It was my first time riding in an ambulance.”

Lin then went on to apologize for the delayed response from his end to all the people worried about him along with stating that he is doing considerably well on the path to recovery.
“I sincerely apologize for delayed responses to emails and other communications. (I notified those who urgently needed it, but apologize to any I was unable to contact). Thanks to the medical professionals’ wonderfully meticulous initial treatment; there seem to be no particular aftereffects, and my condition is recovering with medication and IV drips.”

Judging from his message, it seems that even though Shihei Lin is currently recovering from the illness that was suddenly inflicted upon him, fans will have to be patient with the upcoming updates onChainsaw Mandue to the editor’s health.

Shihei Lin Will Be Taking Things ‘Slow For Now’
During the same message posted on X,Chainsaw Maneditor Shihei Lin then mentioned the cause of the sudden brain hemorrhage that he was diagnosed with along with revealing that he will soon be discharged from the hospital.
“I was very fortunate. I’m scheduled to be discharged this weekend. I think my busy schedule and stress must surely be part of the cause, so I intend to control things to have a bit more margin!”
Continuing, he wrote how he wishes to take things slow for the time being, which means that the manga just might face slight delays as well.
“I plan to make use of and rely on the assistance of those near me. To those whose meetings and meals with me I had to reschedule, I will contact you from this weekend onward to reset dates next week onward. Focusing on recovery, I will be moving forward slowly. By all means, thank you for your kind understanding!!”
As of now, fans are more worried about editor Shihei Lin’s health as the sooner he gets healthy, the sooner fans will get to witness his incredible manga editing skills. As forChainsaw Man, fans are okay with him taking things slow, all the while only hoping for a speedy recovery for the editor.
