The Trash Taste team responded to the backlash and pinned a comment on the video stating that they have never deleted any comments. Connor also commented on the situation on Reddit and wrote:

The streamer also addressed a fan comment that called him “out of touch.” He stated that the commenter made assumptions that Hasan was out of touch because the expected retaliation does not match the reality. Hasan argued that he was not out of touch because several political journalist cover him in a positive way.
