During an interview withThe Cut,the actress,Minnie Driverrevealed some crucial inside stories surrounding her cast in the Academy Award-winning movie,Good Will Hunting.
“I really can’t [name names] because then I’ll never work again, and I have to work because I have a mortgage. The unnamed producer did not think I was hot enough to be in that film and did not want me in the film.
Damon and Ben Affleck as well as director Gus Van Sant fought very hard for me to be in the movie and I am grateful to them until this day”
She revealed that one big-shot producer did not want her to be cast in the movie and only after she received support from the director and the star cast of the movie, she was allowed to play in it. Driver was almost rejected from the movie because she was not good enough, but that did not slow her down as she delivered a stunning performance in the movie.

OnThe Oprah Winfrey Show,Matt Damonrevealed that the couple would be breaking up in a short while. Damon added that although they are very good friends, their romantic and affectionate side for each other has long ended and he did not want to continue with this relationship.
The Martianactor claimed that even though he cared for her the most, their relationship was never meant to be, and it would be best for both of them to go their separate ways. However, after seeing his confession on television, Minnie Driver said that the public learned about their separation before her and that Damon hadn’t spoken with her about it before announcing the big screen.
