With the new Title Update 1.0.6, even 4 GB cards should be able to run Assassin’s Creed Shadows, although only if it’s a 1650 (from Nvidia). In this article, we will take a look at the new lowest system requirements for AC Shadows.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Ultra Low Mode System Requirements For PC

According to thepatch notes, here are the new lowest system requirements for Assassin’s Creed Shadows that will allow you to play in Ultra Low mode:

Ultra Low Mode in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Explained

From the new minimum system requirements listed above, it is evident that the GPU performance, in particular, has been optimized. For Nvidia cards, the minimum has gone down to 4 GB from 8 GB VRAM. Similarly, Intel graphics cards now need 6 GB minimum VRAM instead of the previous 8 GB requirement. In case you use an AMD graphics card, you will unfortunately still need 8 GB VRAM to run the game.

The 8 GB VRAM requirement was a universal minimum requirement to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows initially. Most budget setups do not meet this threshold, which means the title remained inaccessible for many gamers. In particular, low-end gaming laptops very frequently run the GTX 1650 card, despite having much superior processors and other specifications. Now, with the new ultra-low mode, most low-end PC gamers will be able to run the game.

At the same time, older-generation or low-tier gaming PCs with 10-series GPUs will also be able to now play Assassin’s Creed Shadows easily.4 GB of VRAM is fairly common, although the 900-series Nvidia GPUs might still face problems.
