9 Ways to Send a WhatsApp Message Without Saving Their Number
Want to message someone on WhatsApp without saving their number? Sometimes, you might need to save a WhatsApp contact just to send a single message or complete a task. For example, you might save the contact of a plumber or technician to coordinate their arrival or discuss an issue, or you might save the number of a delivery driver to confirm your address or provide special instructions
We’ve all been there. But this ends up creating tons of unwanted contacts on your phone, and it simply clutters the UI. Thankfully, you can send WhatsApp messages directly without saving contacts. I’ll tell you how.

Method 1: Text Yourself on WhatsApp (The Easiest Way)
Last year, WhatsApp released a feature thatallowed you to text yourself. You can do so by messaging the “You” chat inside the app. And this is the easiest way to text someone without saving someone’s WhatsApp number. Here’s how it works:
Method 2: Tap on Numbers in Chats Directly
If you receive a number on WhatsApp from another contact or group chat, you don’t need to copy and paste it anywhere. Again, tap the number directly. WhatsApp will check if they’re on the platform. If they are, tapChat with to start talking right away.
Method 3: Third-Party Apps for Quick Messaging
Many third-party apps allow you to message someone on WhatsApp instantly without saving them to your contacts. While there are tons of such apps out there, I’ll be using a rather simple one called “Click to Chat.” Reason being it has no ads and is only 133KB in size.
If you use both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Web, the app will prompt you to choose either.

Method 4: Create a Chat Link Without Saving Numbers
Prefer not to use a third-party app? No problem. You can manually create a chat link for yourself that directly takes you to that contact on WhatsApp without having to save their number on your phone. This is an official WhatsApp feature calledClick to Chatand the link shared in the steps below is from WhatsApp.
When you open this link on a PC, you’ll be prompted to choose whether to open it in the WhatsApp Desktop app or continue using WhatsApp Web.

Method 5: Use a WhatsApp Link Generator
You can also automate the above URL method by using a WhatsApp Link Generator. All you need to do is enter the mobile number you’d like to chat with, and the website will automatically generate the chat URL for you. Here’s how it works:
Method 6: Use iOS Shortcut to Send a WhatsApp Message
On iPhones running iOS 12 and later, you may use a shortcut to select a number from anywhere, such as Safari, Notes, Mail, Photos, or Contacts through the share sheet. It will open WhatsApp and allow you to send a message without saving the number to your iPhone.
No, you don’t need to create a shortcut yourself; there’s already one shown below.

Method 7: Using Truecaller’s WhatsApp Message Sender
Truecaller is a caller identification and spam detection app available on both Android and iOS. If you’re a Truecaller user, you may know that it has a WhatsApp button that lets you directly chat with someone from your call history, such as those who just called you recently. You don’t have to add the number to your contact list.
Method 8: Send a WhatsApp Message Using Google Assistant (Android)
If you’re using an Android phone, you can ask Google Assistant to send a WhatsApp message to a mobile number (yes, you can say the entire phone number). This does not work with Gemini Assistant yet; here’show to switch backif you’d like to.
Summon Google Assistant by saying “Hey Google” or by long-pressing your power button (if it’s set up that way). Now, ask it to send a WhatsApp message to the mobile number, for example: “Hey Google, send a WhatsApp message to +91 9826012345.” Make sure you add the country code.

It will then prompt you to enter the message you’d like to send. Type your message and pressSend. Google Assistant will send the message on your behalf. You can check WhatsApp to find a chat with that number.
Method 9: Send a WhatsApp Message Using Siri (iOS)
Just like Google Assistant, you can ask Siri on your iPhone to send a WhatsApp message to a mobile number. Trigger Siri by saying “Hey Siri” or by long-pressing the Side key, then ask it to send the message. For example, “Hey Siri, send a WhatsApp message to +91 9826012345.“
Next, Siri will ask what the message is. Type your message and hitSend. Unfortunately, it seems to be a bit buggy right now and doesn’t work with all numbers.
WhatsApp Anyone Effortlessly
By following these simple steps, you can quickly and easily message people on WhatsApp without adding them to your contacts. This can save you time and hassle, especially if you frequently receive numbers from strangers or temporary contacts. I personally prefer to send the number to myself, but you can also try tapping directly on the number or using a URL method.
Remember:When using third-party apps and websites, be cautious and avoid sharing personal information. These methods are best suited for temporary or public contacts. Give them a try and see how much time and effort you may save.
