Tom Cruise’s Love-Hate Saga With Luxury Car Brand Bugatti
It is not every day that the global celebrity and icon,Tom Cruise, sails down the red carpet in the most beautiful Bugatti during the premiere of one of his most anticipated films and makes a spectacle of himself in front of thousands of fans. Bugatti Bans Tom Cruise From Buying Their Luxury Cars
The incident of May 2006 left Bugatti feeling a bit flustered about its image and reputation. After all, it is not often that Tom Cruise, of all people, rolls down graciously flaunting one of the most beautiful creations in the history of luxury cars, and manages to make a comical scene just moments after. The global media which stood witness to one of the most hilarious stand-offs between a megastar and the car door that stood between him and his wife then humiliated Bugatti so inherently that the brand blacklisted the actor from buying another one of their models again.

Tom Cruise’s Bugatti Veyron, which he bought back in 2005, served as incredible PR for the brand since Cruise was not only one of the first celebrities to acquire it but he was also the most influential. His being in possession of the swanky black luxury sports car would immediately skyrocket the brand’s image and reputation almost overnight. But considering how instead of making a statement with the Veyron, Cruise instead managed to inadvertently make it into meme-worthy material, Bugatti’s reason for blacklisting the actor somehow makes sense, even though it comes off as incredibly petty.
